Working Memory - this enables us to store information for a short period of time and apply it in our current thinking. It allows us to store the information and manipulate it in the future.
Short-term Memory - this is our capacity to hold small, limited amounts of information for simple recall.
Long-term Memory - this is our capacity to hold larger quantities of information for a seemingly unlimited duration.
Causes of Memory Issues
Memory issues can start at any age. Some people are born with poor memory skills and others feel the affects of aging. And yet others suffer memory issues from trauma to the brain or diseases such as Alzheimer's.
According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) human brain development continues up through the mid-20's. From then our job is to continue to train and exercise the brain to keep it healthy and strong.

We offer a number of inpatient and outpatient and self-regulated programs to support brain training and memory skills - each customized to you or your child. After a consultation and evaluation we can determine which method is best for you or your child.
