Sharon, and her team, diagnose and treat a variety of learning disabilities including deficits in auditory/visual processing, language processing (speech therapy), cognition, reading, writing, working memory and executive functioning.

Sharon’s goals are to enrich the lives of others by increasing their self-confidence and fundamental cognitive and language skills necessary to achieve academic/professional success and strengthen social interactions.

Education and Career

Sharon R. Pollack received her B.A. from the University of Florida and her M.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Memphis.

Sharon started her career as a Speech Language Pathologist at Baptist Memorial Hospital specializing in neurology and language. While there, she developed an acute care speech/language therapy department, and established protocols for diagnosing and treating dysphagia and cognitive disorders. During that time she also founded a family education and support group for patients in the neurological wing.

Professional Achievements

Sharon has been a speaker at the Memphis Brain Injury Conferences and more recently has presented at a local workshop titled “Traumatic Brain Injury and Helping Students Succeed”. In addition, she has been a presenter at the Visionary Conferences and has provided many in-service programs/workshops to both private and public schools.

While at the Scientific Learning Corporation Visionary Conference in San Diego, CA, Sharon Pollack was presented the Top Provider Award (nationwide) for outstanding performance for administering and facilitating SLC’s Fast ForWord Programs to individuals with neurological processing deficiencies, language and/or learning difficulties.

"Sharon, a Speech-Language Pathologist and Certified Brain Injury Specialist and Trainer in the East Memphis area, has been working with children to maximize their leaning potential and raise their self-confidence in order to be successful.  Her dedication to each child and her knack for pin-pointing and understanding the child’s special needs culminates into amazing changes in these children not only academically but also in their behavior as they begin to comprehend things on a level they have never reached before.  Parents are marveling at this transformation and we, as a community, are fortunate to have Sharon working with and for our children."
